Digital Repository Task Force August 28, 2006

Action Items:

1. Geoff will investigate contact in Records Management.
2. Kate will talk to Life Sciences researchers in September.
3. Wayne will look for a pilot project in the English Department.
4. Diane will talk to Gary Allen about inviting him, Jim Laffey, and Mike Nichols to a DIR TF Meeting to talk about the Faculty Accomplishment System, The Community of Science (COS) and Knowledge Sharing Systems (KSS). She will post 2 documents:
   • Innovation for Social Networking
     • I3: Innovation Information Infrastructure
     • Social Networking Tool Serves Entrepreneurs, Researchers and Innovators
   • Report of the Research Computing Group: restricted access
5. Hardy will see if he can import files from citation management software into DSpace.
   • Sent note to Eric Lease Morgan, at Notre Dame, regarding some work they've done converting Endnote to DSpace. He forwarded the note on to Robert Fox, also at Notre Dame, who passed on some scripts and samples files. Looks pretty simple. Demo at Notre Dame.
